January 1st , 2021 - The very last of my reviews written during my convalescence is now up. Welcome to Blood Beach. Sad to say, but this will be the last new review posted for some time. I'm deep into another writing project that requires all my spare time, so I don't see anything new appearing here until closer to spring, maybe even summer. We'll see. This is the 87th review I've done for the graveyard and I'm hoping to reach 100 by the site's 20th anniversay, which is still nearly 4 years away, so I should be able to do it. Stay tuned.

December 1st , 2020 - The penultimate of my reviews written during my convalescence is now up. The Evil. Also an IMPORTANT NOTE: The next review will not post until January 1st first rather than the 15th.

November 11th , 2020 - The review for Lost Continent has now been posted. Sorry.

November 1st , 2020 - The review for Kronos is now posted. Electrifying.

October 15th , 2020 - The review for Scalps is up. This one is quite painful. Be warned.

October 1st , 2020 - The review for Demon of Paradise is up. Yay.

September 15th , 2020 - Time for another review written during the time I was stuck at home with a broken ankle. This time it's aquatic horror and idiocy in Up From The Depths.

September 1st , 2020 - New review! This time its the Giant From The Unknown. I have returned to work after recovering from my broken ankle. Luckily I was able to write A LOT during my time off and have enough reviews saved up for the rest of the year with one posted every 1st and 15th of the month.

August 15th , 2020 - New review! Time to make a visit to the Oasis of the Zombies.

August 1st , 2020 - Time for a new review! From now through the end of the year (and maybe beyond) there will be a new review on the 1st and 15th of each month, starting off with The Prowler.

June 25th, 2020 - Howdy! After a year and a half, I am back with not one, not two, but THREE new reviews! Holy shit! Why so much all at once? Simply put: I broke my ankle. Working on reviews for this site is always one of those things that I want to spend time on, it’s just that there is so much going on these days, I find it difficult to find it. Work is busier than ever, plus I have other interests that take up time as well, so when I fell at work at the end of May and broke my ankle, forcing me to take several weeks off to heal, I found I had a lot of time on my hands. Given the nature of my injury, I have to stay seated 90% of the time, so for the first week, I sat around binging Downton Abbey on Amazon Prime. When I watched all that, I needed something else to do, as I did not want to binge another show so soon. I decided it was an ideal time to work on my review for Them!

I had always intended for my very next review to be Them! so I sat down one day to work on it and got about six thousand words down. I saved my work to a flash drive and went to eat dinner. When I came back, I found that the file had been corrupted and was now irretrievable. I was greatly annoyed. I still wanted to work on a new review, but didn’t have the heart to start Them! all over from scratch, so I moved on to two other films before coming back to it. So finally here are new reviews:

Man Beast

Island of Terror

Them!

These are not the only new reviews I have completed as of late, but I plan on spacing out the posting schedule a bit. I’m still looking at two to three weeks before I can return to work, so I should be able to get some more done by that time. We’ll see. In the mean time I hope you enjoy the new stuff. If you catch any typos, please let me know over on the Facebook page.

January 1 , 2019 - Starting off the new year with a new review! This time it's for The 7th Voyage of Sinbad. I've been working on this one off and on since June. As usual each year, summer is extremely busy for me at work and this year the busy season extended well into fall, so this review took much longer than I really anticipated. Plus there were other delays such as sick dogs, family issues and what not. Alas, it's done now, despite a corrupted file that forced me to rewrite 2000 words.

May 18 , 2018 - The entertaining but total mess that is Curse of Bigfoot is now up.

April 27, 2018 - The epic battle of the Earth vs. the Flying Saucers is now up. Also, I have created a page for Movie Terms that I regularly use in the Shadow's Commentary section of each review, explaining some of my more obscure pop culture references.

April 12, 2018 - Almost two years after the last review appeared here, Without Warning joins the ranks. Who knows, there might be more coming in the (relatively) near future.

May 1, 2016 - The Deadly Mantis has now been unearthed at the Graveyard. Also, please note that I am entering my busy season at work and may not be able to maintain the regular, twice monthly updates during the summer (though I will give it my best shot).

April 15, 2016 - The review for King Dinosaur is now up at the Graveyard. From legendary director Bert I. Gordon (Mr. B.I.G. himself) comes this epic tale of endless stock footage, no sets, rented spacesuits and abused animals and women.

April 1, 2016 - The review for Let Sleeping Corpses Lie, a Spanish/Italian co-production shot in the English countryside, is now up at the Graveyard.

March 15, 2016 - The review for From Hell It Came is now up. This is another film which I have wanted to do for ages, but am only now getting around to reviewing.

March 1, 2016 - My review for The Raiders of Atlantis from 1983 is now up. Best described as a glorious mess, this is an entertaining film with lots of flaws, but still with a great sense of fun.

February 15, 2016 - My review for The Boogens is now up.

February 1, 2016 - My review for Psychic Killer is now up.

Januray 15, 2016 - I made a Facebook page for the site on the 1st of the year, but after I had already posted the update below, so I am mentioning it now. Check it out and give it a like if you wish. Also, the latest review is now up for Destination Inner Space from 1966.

January 1, 2016 – So, after a wee bit over four years, I have returned to this site. There really is not much to tell. I became interested in other things and decided to put this site on the back burner for a time while I pursued those other interests. Now I am back. The first new review is for the 1954 “classic” Killers From Space. Also new is this very page in lieu of trying to keep a blog updated. I may also add a few things here and there (like new fonts to some of the banners).

I realize that anyone who may have been a regular visitor has probably long since stopped dropping by to see if this place will ever be updated again. Hopefully I can slowly build a small cadre of fans back up over time. If not, I’ll still post new reviews, solely because I enjoy doing them.
